Coaches: Safe Hockey training

Action Required: EH Safe Hockey online training

As part of our ClubMark re-accreditation, England Hockey have reviewed our procedures and policies.  As a result, we need to ask all club coaches to take a one hour, online “Safe Hockey” training.  Thank you in advance for your support in completing the training.  (The Club is also asking Captains to take this training).

The training is aimed at coaches and covers the safety aspects of planning, delivering and reviewing training sessions, using lots of examples and videos.

If you have already taken this training (or and equivalent safety qualification) please provide the certificate by return.

If not, please complete the training course at your convenience (but no later than the start of training in January) and provide the certificate by reply email.

There is no cost for the training and the certificate is valid for 3 years.

Instructions to take the training:

1. Click the link to open the Hockey Hub (you will need to log in): https://hockeyhub.englandhockey.co.uk/safehockey
2. Watch and interact with the video in one go – close the browser and you’ll have to start again.  Take the quiz to complete the training
3. Take a screenshot of the training completion (in case the certificate is not available)
4. Provide the screenshot or certificate of completion by email to certificates@wilmslowhockey.org.uk
