Your Club Needs You! Vacant roles!

To: All Hockey Club Members and Parents of Junior Members

We welcome some new joiners to the committee but there are some key roles vacant.

Our club depends completely on its volunteers - could you spare some time to support your club please?

1/ Recent joiners to the committee - welcome!

Welcome and thank you to the following for volunteering since the AGM:

Bobby Hassard - Men’s Club Captain (Sam Dawson will transition to Bobby by the end of August.)
Jon Lowe - Kit Officer

2/ Vacant hockey committee roles - could you help?

Could you spare some time/energy/enthusiasm to take on or just support one of these roles?

Vice Chair. Impact: supports the chair and development activities. (Louise Broome interim)
Welfare Officer. Impact: Manages the club’s safeguarding and welfare responsibilities (incl first aid training).
Social Secretary(’s): Impact: Plans and runs club social events.
Discipline Officer. Impact: Maintains and operates the club’s disciplinary policy.
Umpire Development Officer. Impact: Supports and develops our volunteer umpires - adults and juniors.
Social Media Officer. Impact: Raises the profile of the club and our sponsors externally.
DBS Verifier. Impact: Administers DBS checks for volunteers and coaches (using EH system).

3/ Vacant Phoenix roles - could you help?

The Phoenix Treasurer is stepping down imminently - leaving a critical gap.
Do you have an accounting background? Could you lead or support management of income/costs?
Separately, Phoenix need help to revamp the website and run social media - could you help with one of these?

4/ Clubhouse and grounds teams - could you help?

We’re recruiting small teams to share the workload - made up of representatives from all sports
We need a Hockey representative for each of the Clubhouse and Grounds teams.
