Weekend Preview: Alumni Weekend

Dearest CUHC,

A warm(-er than last week) welcome back to Cam! Hopefully the pitches will stay un-frozen this weekend so we can actually play some liquid hockey. I had prepared a weekend preview for last week but decided to save it for this week after all the games were frozen off :(( work smarter not harder. 

It might not even be week 1 yet but we are already within the 1 month countdown to BDotY! Over the next few weeks there wilby various bits of admin circulated so please keep an eye on your emails & WhatsApp. Firstly, keep the 2nd of Feb free for Kit Swap, probably the SBNotY. More on this to come. 

The lead up to varsity selection & BDotY can be a stressful period for everyone, so please do reach out to your captain(s), myself or Blewis or your welfare secs Sophie & Owen if you need to. Look after yourselves, socialise and have fun at the same time as giving it your all in training.

This Sunday is the annual alumni day!

In addition to alumni dinner tomorrow evening, there are 5 current CUHC v alumni matches happening on Sunday. Get down to Wilby to watch & see your favourite alum :) expecting to see boonies out in full force. 

Despite my New Year’s resolution being to doom scroll less, I found the inspiration for (last week’s) weekend preview on TikTok, so maybe it’s not all bad.
