With the new season well underway, we wanted to welcome everyone back and let you know what’s new and what’s coming up in the Club.
1/ Race Night - this Saturday
- WHC Race Night promises to be a great night, whether you’re a racing expert or complete novice.
- A £10 ticket buys a drink on arrival, a free £5 bet and a 6-race card containing amusing horse names/form guides written about club members.
- Please buy your tickets on Teamo (or on the door), have fun with your friends and support the club at the same time.
- Doors open at 6.30pm and don’t forget to bring some cash so you can place a few bets! Details are in Teamo.
2/ Membership fees due NOW!
- It’s the end of September so - if you haven’t already - NOW is the time to pay your membership fees on Teamo!!
- If you’re facing financial hardship and struggling to pay, please let us know so we can come to an arrangement. Details here.
3/ Player numbers and availability
- We are really struggling with player numbers in the adult sides
- We will gladly welcome more players - please bring your friends!
- Please help your captains by putting your availability on Teamo at least a week ahead and be prepared to be flexible in team selection.
4/ Umpire training
- We need more umpires as to share the load fairly.
- We are planning a new approach to have more players trained as umpires - watch this space
- If you are interested in taking the umpire training and becoming an umpire, please get in touch! The club will support you!
5/ Club kit shop is open
6/ Eighteen Hockey: 20% member discount on sticks and equipment
- We’re delighted that Eighteen Hockey have renewed their sponsorship with the club
- All members are entitled to a 20% discount at Eighteen Hockey using the code “WILMSLOWHC”
7/ Match reports - new feature on Teamo
- Now you can record that star performance in writing for posterity!
- The captain or a delegate can now write a match report in the app - and publish to your team page or news page on the website.
