Mark joined in 1991 from Neston. He has over 50 years experience, playing, officiating, and captaining, and ran the juniors for 10 years. Mark is a past CCHC committee member and president, and now manages a large committee of enthusiastic hockey fans as Club Chairman & Director of our Limited company.

I joined the club as a parent of two youth members back in 2019. Since then my interest in Hockey and Cambridge City Hockey Club has only grown. I strongly believe in the potential of the club and giving back to the community. My commercial background and social skills have brought me to support the club with Sponsorship, fundraising and Marketing.
I am delighted to be part of a club that is inclusive and that fully operates from a passion for Hockey. I always welcome new ideas, and I’m constantly looking for new fundraising projects and sponsorship, if you have any, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Simon joined CCHC in 2007 and has played for every senior men's team and coached every senior team as either lead or assistant coach. He has also managed at European Cup level. He is a dedicated member of the Hockey Maker community delivering events on behalf of England Hockey. He umpires at national league level in both England and Belgium. He is also a member of the international hockey press.
As well as playing and umpiring Simon has been on the committee for the bulk of his 15 years at the club, serving as captain, social secretary and for the last few years as Communications & Social Media Officer.
Sharon has been a member of CCHC since university (apart from a break from hockey when her children were young), both as a player & volunteer. She has had various roles over the years including fixtures, and umpiring secretary, and became Safeguarding & Welfare Officer in 2018 when Andy Richardson convinced her it 'didn't involve much work at all'.
Since then she has been acquiring roles! She also umpires, and occasionally still pulls on a shirt for the W6 and o45s.
Stuart joined CCHC when he took up hockey in 2016 rather than shiver on the side watching his children. He plays for our M5s and 6s. Stuart joined the committee in 2019 as our Umpire Liaison Officer, but when his daughter graduated into the U16s in 2020, he soon found himself helping strengthen the policies and approach to managing our newish youth section, and then last year helped shape and deliver our plan to expand to u12s.
He has now taken on the role of Youth Chairman to oversee our expansion to U6, and hopefully secure Talent Centre Accreditation for the 2023/24 season. Stuart is also one of our club photographers and still shares the ULO role with President Ireland.
During my playing career I received 58 International caps and won Club honours with some of the top performing teams in England and Europe.
I greatly enjoyed working within the CCHC Youth programme last year alongside a group of dedicated coaches and Club officials.
I am a teacher at Perse School and was Head of Hockey from 2014-2020. Having overseen the development of many talented players in the boys and girls game over my teaching career, I am greatly looking forward to utilising my playing and coaching experience and passion for the sport in the role of Youth Head Coach at CCHC.
A Mum of two hockey players who spends the season’s weekends pitch-side, catching up with fellow hockey parents and marvelling at how the game has changed since my day playing on grass! I’m delighted to be responsible for encouraging more children to play hockey and benefit from the fabulous CCHC facilities and our amazing team of talented coaches.
I inherited my role from the great ‘Andy Richardson’ whose initiative to increase hockey playing opportunities to all school children and widen the participation in the sport for all has become a cornerstone of CCHC ethos. If your school lacks a hockey astro pitch, coach, regular training and matches and you’re keen to have more regular coaching or you’d just like to learn to play and have fun, please get in touch!
Geoff joined CCHC straight out of university where he was chair of all club sport. He now dedicates his time to organising fun and inclusive socials for the club to bring members together, and is a common sight in pubs and pitchside.
On the pitch, he plays for the 4s and Vets teams with the occasional game for the 3s. He was described in a recent committee meeting as “really annoying to play against”, which is either mild praise, or a damning indictment of the number of fouls he gives away.
Tim joined CCHC as a Veteran in 2007 and has played hockey for over 45 years at various clubs and levels as his career took him around the country.
Our 'retiring' Club President, as well as the unenviable task of finding umpires for our home games he also helps organise the M7s, Chairs the Disciplinary Committee and sits on the East Masters Committee.
