CCHC plans to enter both Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams into the England Hockey competitions.
Tier 1 at U16 is organised into a single league competition and there is no separate knockout competition. Teams are organised into leagues geographically, with results determining entry into a second stage tiered competition after Xmas.
At Tier 2 there is both an Area League and a knockout cup (EH Club Championships) competition.

Please ensure your young person signs in with their team admin before entering the pitches.
The artificial surfaces used for hockey 'freeze' as temperatures approach zero. This means that, over the winter months, cold weather may mean we have to cancel training. We will do our best to contact those players affected with as much notice as possible. Please check twitter, Teamo & email before setting out for training when the temperatures drop!

England Hockey Tier 1 U16 League
Tier 1 is a nationally organised league-based competition with rankings deciding entry into a further tiered competition post Xmas.

Tier 2 East Area League
We are waiting for confirmation of how the Tier 2 U16 area leagues will work this season. In the interim, scheduled dates are a follows.
Proposed Tier 2 Club League Finals – 27 April 2025
Tier 2 England Hockey Championship (knockout competition so dates after R2 dependent on performance)
Straight knockout competitions running through the season. There is a Plate, which allows early round losers a second opportunity to go for glory, and gives teams a minimum of two games.
Club Indoor
Mercia Cup - residential tournament held @ Malvern College. Entry is subject to player & coach availability.
