Match Officials Needed!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Can you help as a Match Official (MO) for our M1 and W1 home national league games?

On the weekends England Hockey are unable to appoint a neutral MO to cover our National League games we need to provide a home appointed Match Official instead.

It would be fantastic to have some volunteers who are able to take on this role. Technical Officiating is a great way to be involved in hockey, being close to the action and experiencing a different side of the game.

The best thing is...anyone can get involved!

What does the MO do?

You are pitch-side for the duration of the game & work with both team managers, benches and umpires to ensure the game runs smoothly.
Complete the match report.
Keep time of the game.
Record goals with minute scored and action (FG/PC/PS).
Record and time any card suspension (s) and return players to the field of play.

To support clubs, England Hockey are running an online training session for MOs on Tuesday 10^th September at 7pm

In addition, if you enjoy the role, there are other opportunities to join the Technical Appointments Panel (TAP) not just to officiate at EHL Fixtures but other competitions such as EH Championships finals weekends.
